THYATIRA: The Lord starts off by wanting this church to know that the message being sent is comming straight from his mouth. And that it is by his authority to judge and correct that this message is being sent. ( Unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; ) And again because he will rebuke and chastise those that he loves. He warns them that they should not be letting members of their body attend another church that has corrupted the gospel of Christ. But to speak out against Her, to warn them what would happen if they continue to attend such a church. ( because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess; to teach and seduce my sevrants, ) and because she refuse to repent. That he would bring judgement upon her and those that continue to follow after her. ( But unto you I say and unto the rest that are in Thyatira; as many as have not this doctrine, ) Which is just to say those in your church and the other churches that have not followed after her., and have not got caught up in her fales teachings. ( that which ye have already hold fast till I come. ) Letting them know that to those who have overcome, that he would give them power over the nations. That they would be given power to rein and to rule with him. That he would give them the morning star. ( just meaning that they would be given the right to share in his glory. ) Making us kings and priest. next the church at Sardis. James Walker
