GOD THE FATHER GOD THE SON: Someone asked me awhile back does the bible mention any differences between God the Father and God the Son. You may be surprised but it does. We know that their are some that believe that in the next life. That we will see only one in the person of God. While others believe that we will see two. Three with the Holy Spirit. ( trinity ) We know that their are three. And that the three are one. As concerning the spirit. We know that a man and his wife are two., but one as concerning the flesh. Their are many members in the body of Christ. But yet we are one in the spirit. Lets look a little at the relationship between God and his Son Jesus. We know that Jesus spoke in the plural when speaking of himself and the Father. St John: ( If a man love me; he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and WE will come unto him, and make OUR abode with him. ) again in St John: ( It is written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. ) We know that in heaven Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father as declared by David, then again by Steven in the book of Acts: ( being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And said behold, I see the heavens opened, and the son of man standing at the right hand of God. ) Showing that we will not just see one, But will see God the Father and God the Son. The bible notes the authority of God the Father over the Son. After the thousand year rein of Christ. first Corinthians: Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down All Rule, and All Authority, and Power ) ( and when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him that God might be all and all. ) I will try and keep this short. But will point out some of the differences between God the Father and God the Son. First we know that God is a spirit, and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jesus after he had risen from the grave, in his glorified flesh body. Said that he was not a spirit but flesh and bone. So in the next life, we will see the nail prints in his hands and the whole in his side. As an ever lasting reminder of what christ has done for us. Just as the ark of the covnant with Aarons rod still budding, the manna still fresh The tablets with the ten commandments still preserved will be for those under the old covenant, We read where Jesus is subject to God the Father. God is subject to no one. Nor does he call anyone father. Nor does he call anyother God. As Jesus does even now in heaven in his glorified body while sitting at the right hand of God. Revelation: ( I will confess his name before my Father, and his angels ) Rev: ( Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go no more out, and I will write upon him the name of My God, Which is New Jerusaelm, Which cometh down out of heaven from My God.
