TEACHER OF GOD"S WORD

LADODICEA:  Again as with the other churches, the Lord warns them that they must be overcomers.  They have fallen under the same deluison, as the man that brought a great harvest into his barn"s. Who said, soul take thine ease, eat drink and be merry. For I have much goods stored up for many years. Thinking that they have done enough, becomming content with what they have carnally and spiritually.  Still going to church, and going thru the motions. Singing their  hymns, A little preaching, a little prayer, then going home and leaving God at the church door.  They have stopped pressing foward, forgetting that this is a continuing journey. That we cant leave Christ at the door, but must take up our cross daily and follow after him. No matter how much we think that we have done. That we are not to pat ourselves on the back, but must realize that we are unprofitable servants. Untill we hear that voice say, Well done my good and faithful severant. We are not to bury our talent in the ground, thinking that that will be enough for our Lord when he returns for that which is his. ( church ) But must continue to do that which is expected of us. It's not just what we have done, that is going to please the Lord. But what we are doing when he returns for us. This church has lost sight of that, and have let their garments become stained becomming poor spirtitually (  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, and white raiment, and to anoint  thine eyes with eye salve )                            James Walker
