                                                                                                             TEN VIRGINS                                                                                                      ..

I had a man tell me once that he believed that the five foolish virgins were never saved. Sometimes the elect are called foolish in God's word.  We are all subject to do something foolish if we are not careful.  Remember when the apostle said. ( oh ye foolish Galatians ) But if we look at the scripture closely. We will see that they were indeed saved. First let;s note that they are all called virgins. Virgin here meaning that they were made pure being washed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. They are all brides, going forth to meet the bridegroom. (Jesus) can't be His bride if you were never saved. They all had their lamps burning, Can't have light without Jesus, for he is the light. Some go into great detail, trying to seperate the lamp, the burning of the lamp and the oil. When in actuality, they are one and the same. The bible lets us know that we must press our way into the kingdom. That it is not one who starts the race, but he that finishes the race. We must be doers of the word, and not hearers only. The word is our lamp. The vessel is our spiritual body. We are not just to read the word. But put the word into our hearts. Tho we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, and made a good tree. We are expected to bring forth fruit. And can't borrow fruit from someone else. But must be fruit from our own tree. He has delt us a measure of faith. But faith alone is dead. We must continue to work while it is day. ( until the comming of our Lord ) These are some of the things that the foolish virgins didn't consider until it was to late. Tho Jesus has warned us all to count the cost. And this is what they failed to do.  Notice some of the first words out of the wise virgins mouth. ( go and buy from him that selleth ) (Jesus ) Remember when Jesus told the church of Laodicea, ( I counsel thee to buy of me.) But before they could get their life straight, and get back to the place they should have been all along. The Lord had already come for his virgins. ( His Bride ) But again the Lord has warned us to be prepared, For he cometh at an hour that ye think not. So we must always be watching, and be prepared for the comming of the Lord.                 James Walker
